Our Commitment: Mission Zero Emission
In Nepal, the transportation sector’s fossil fuel emissions have emerged as a primary contributor to air pollution, accounting for 38% of PM10 emissions in 2023 (https://www.hindawi.com/journals/jeph/2020/2828643). This results in the release of harmful pollutants, including carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and particulate matter (PM), causing severe health issues, particularly in urban areas. Moreover, the nation’s reliance on imported fuels has led to a significant trade deficit, which expanded by 56.8% in the fiscal year 2021/2022 (Nepal Rastra Bank), accompanied by foreign exchange risks. By transitioning to EVs, we can combat the immense pollution costs incurred, estimated at $3.1 billion, representing 10.2% of Nepal’s GDP (https://www.nepalitimes.com).
With a resolute focus on sustainability and innovation, thee GO Group of Companies is leading the charge towards a cleaner and greener future for Nepal. EVs, being zero tailpipe emitters, offer a compelling solution to this environmental and economic burden and healthier environment for our future generation. By championing the Mission Zero Emission movement, through our comprehensive EV ecosystem, we are committed in fostering positive change to ensure sustainable commute, reduction of dependency on fossil fuels, while promoting self-reliance in electricity generation.
